“Where I’m From”

90 words 3 Comments

I am from bed

from blankets and pillows

I am from a medium size house

with small dust floating

I am from the peach tree the pine tree

whose long gone limbs I remember as if they where my own

I’m from movie nights and popcorn

from Cody and Greyson

I’m from staying up to late and sleeping in

and from naps during the day

I’m from spankings and working

and I am a child of god

I’m from camping

I’m from Edmonton and Canada

spaghetti and Parmesan Chicken

from dropping glass plates and being sad

then seeing our family pictures and being reminded

then being happy

  • This is a very good poem! You should publish this, and you might even become the next Shel Silversteen. There is really no corrections besides the fact that God is lowercased. I hope you continue to write more story’s and poems. I look forward to reading them.

  • I think it had a very strong and good meaning . You should really consider being a poet wen you grow up.
