The letter to Miss. Florian

Dear Miss Florian,

I am very excited to see the play James And The Giant Peach. I love reading the book, it is such a great book. I think that you will to a great job making this play happen. You do so well with making plays. I have a few questions to ask you and I have some suggestions.

First, how are you going to make the rainbow appear? Maybe you could use some kind of projector. How are you going to make the peach? I was thinking that you could make it out of paper mache, so it can break.

Second, how are you going to get the peach to fly and are you going to get the people on the peach? What if you put the peach on wires and then have the cast have harnesses.  What are the cloud men going to wear? I was thinking that they could wear all white and have like ripped up cotton balls on them.

Last, How are you going to put the seagulls on the peach? I Think that you should get a lot of plastic seagulls and put them on the string that will hold up the peach. When they are in the pit of the peach, How are you going to make that happen? I do not know how that would work but I am very excited to see how you do it.

I can’t wait to see the play. I hope that you like my suggestions. Thanks for reading my letter about James and the giant peach.

Your Friend,

Claire V

  • I was wondering that too, how is she going to get the seagulls? 502?!?! Anyways, just make sure to indent, I do not know if writeabout doesn’t let you but it happened to me too.

    • Thanks for commenting on my post. I did indent but it did not transfer. Thanks for letting me know that.

      • Yeah, about 5 or 6 minutes ago a talked to Mrs. Barr about it. She was pretty upset as a matter of fact..

  • Hey Claire, I loved your post. Maybe for the part when you said, “I love reading the book. It is such a great book.” You could have put a comma instead of a period after “I love reading the book, it is such a great book.” That might help expand your sentences a bit. But I love it and I love the questions you asked. I also love the suggestions you made. I can not wait to see what you write (well type ;) ) next.

    • Thanks Madi for commenting on my post. I will go and fix that. Thank you for letting me know that.

  • I love everything about your letter, it is just overall awesome!

    • You are to sweet. Thanks so much for commenting on my post.

    • Thanks for commenting on my post. Yours was great.
