Want to know something that makes me upset? Bylaws. Especially ones against fireworks. Fireworks are the joy of life. They’re like pre-made bombs that you launch into the air from your driveway and watch blow up in the sky. And that’s just the beginning. There’s so many types you can find, like ones that spin in circles, make different sounds, blow up on impact, and pretty much anything you can imagine. But in Canada, they made it illegal! Why? Because they’re mean and have no sense of fun.
I know teenagers playing with fire could be kind of dangerous, but it’s also one of the best things you can do on a dark night with your friends or family. And they’re even more fun when they’re in residential areas, because there’s nobody around you to tell you to stop or quiet down. It kind of ruins the purpose of having fun when people keep telling you to stop.
Although they are pretty fun, there is also a few cautions you should take. For example, if you were to park your car on the side of the road and someone launches a firework right behind your car, some remains of the explosion will most likely land on your car and leave a dent or hit you while you’re going into it. Also every once in a while there’s that careless person that sticks their head over the firework and it almost blows their head off while it’s flying into the air, and it’s always nice to not be headless for the rest of your life.
Another reason why they should be legal is because of money. In places that allow fireworks, there are big businesses based on fireworks, and people can make lots of money and have good jobs because of firework companies. Huge places like Disneyland and other big attractions have firework shows at night or in the evening, and they don’t make their own fireworks, they need to buy them from other companies.
So, if this were a message to the government of Canada, I would tell them to legalize fireworks, even if they need to add more security in places because I think they’re fun.
